Lobbying and Policy Advocacy: these cuts through all the interventions. We are creating a critical mass of boys and men who will adopt transformative masculinities and change the social norms at the community level. Other levels of influence target men as duty bearers and in the legislative arm. MAIN Kenya is making a deliberate effort to target all the arms of government at national and county level for policy change.

Communication and Voicing: MAIN Kenya aspires to use all the available channels to share accurate information on transformative masculinities without prejudice. We deliver behavioral change communication materials to boys and men. We deliberately engage the media both social and mainstream on matters relating to boys and men in Kenya and beyond.

Institutional Strengthening: is critical in achieving our objectives. This includes financial and human resource mobilization and strengthening of institutional policies and systems with the highest attainable standards.

Networking and Collaboration: this ensures that we work with other like-minded partners and organizations. Networking will be key in joint advocacy and cross-learning. MAIN Kenya collaborates with state and non-state actors to deliver on its mandate.

Co-creation: We harvests good ideas that are generated in our intervention areas to be implemented by boys and men using age-appropriate activities. We also work on scaling up of promising interventions.

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning: A robust monitoring and evaluation system with indicators and targets forms part of every project activity. This helps in evaluation of the organization’s interventions to inform other similar initiatives across the country. We continue to draw critical lessons during implementation which can inform research and other academic areas of studying men and boys.
